STRIPES & SHOULDERS

Aww it’s officially Autumn now and as we start to fully embrace the Autumn and yes I’ve already pulled out the black tights from the back of the drawer; it seems the days of Summer weather are well and truly numbered, although the weather today promises to be 22C and sunny so yay!  I’ve been inspired by London Fashion Week and all the SS18 looks, so I thought I’d feature a few of my favourite looks from this Summer over the next couple weeks. My way of rounding up the Summer before my Uniqlo JW Anderson Cashmere dress becomes my everyday staple.

This dress was a Primark find and everyone always looks surprised when I tell them. The dress instantly caught my eye on the hanger, I loved the simplicity of it but also the slight cheeky off the shoulder look. It gave me visions of days spent at Wimbledon with strawberries and cream and enjoying a perfect Summer’s day. Yep, I got all that from one dress. Unfortunately the Wimbledon daydream didn’t come true this year but the dress came home with me and it has been one of my most loved dresses.Big tick in the blogger uniform box with these blogger favourite tassel earrings. Admittedly not to everyone’s taste, the boy and my 6 year style advisor looked a bit perplexed by them, but I adore them! I’ve always had a thing for statement earrings and these definitely fit the bill. I pop them on and boom! Outfit is complete. They were originally in H&M and still are in other colours (I’ve also picked up some in navy) but I’d missed out in the red until I spied them in Topshop! Result! This cute little bag from Reiss is one of my treasured pieces and a great sale find. I like that it’s a little different; the design and finish is lovely and it means I have to be selective in what I take with me. My friends tease me about how many bags I have with me usually, so it’s refreshing to travel light sometimes. Can we just take a moment to admire these shoes!!! I found these when I popped into M&S to buy some lunch, somehow yes, I started my search for lunch in the shoe section as you do. My friend Ade is always wanting me to move away from black by adding some colour to my wardrobe and these sandals just brought cheer. What made me smile even more was the price, they were £19.50! Fashion for under £20, I love it! The wood detail and the mustard yellow go beautifully together. They are a little bit high for me, but my foot is secured in place by the wide strap so easy to walk in and they add some much needed height to little ole 5″2 me (the boy will laugh & nod).

The dress is a great find and can’t believe it’s from Primark! I love how the dress shows off the shoulder slightly. The Reiss bag is stunning with the rose gold detailing – it’s all about the detail!
