Oh how I love this jacket! I got it last year after seeing someone on the tube wearing it. I did my online research to find out it was from Zara but it’d had gone viral and oh no was out of stock everywhere!! I’d given up only to then find loads of them in store in the Canary Wharf store on my lunch break. Yay!
That was last year and wow this jacket has taken off big time! I read an article in Look magazine around the end of August, labelling this the ‘blogger jacket’ and the jacket has gone viral yet again. On my daily commute it’s not unusual to stand in a crowd for ages at Victoria as they shut down the tube due to overcrowding and the other day while in said crowd I spotted at least 5 women around with the same style of jacket! So many stores are doing a version now, I’ve seen it in Warehouse, Matalan, Topshop, Primark and Zara rereleased it this year so you’re spoilt for choice if you’d like to get your hands on this jacket. I overheard someone commenting that they don’t like the jacket as everyone is wearing it. Fair play to them but I love this jacket just as much as when I first bought it last year, in fact maybe even more. It’s snuggly and comforting and my little 7 year stylist loves it, which makes me love it more. She loves the feel of the faux fur inside and is always asking me to get one in her size. If anyone knows where I can get a kiddie size version, please let me know. I know a little girl who’ll be over the moon!!
I adore this dress! I love the print and combined with the flared detail, I think it’s just so pretty. I like the relaxed fit (you may need to size down), it so comfy and elegantly conceals a food baby. I always feel happy and like me when wearing this dress. It’s from New Look and I only bought it a couple weeks ago but sadly it’s already sold out. You may be able to grab one in store though. New Look have so many lovely pieces at the moment and at such affordable price points too. A few things may have fallen into my online shopping basket from there recently…..
This really is one of my favourite outfits at the moment; it brings together so many pieces which I love and which have a little story behind them such as the necklace from Bianca Jones (the story and Bianca’s gorgeous jewellery designs deserve a post of their own, which will be up very soon). The bag is also a favourite of mine. It’s nothing extravagant perhaps but a great find earlier this year from Matalan having been inspired by the Chloe Faye bag. The Chloe bag is gorgeous but at almost £1300, it’s not something I can afford right now or justify. I was telling the boy all about it and then spotted this in Matalan and it was love at first sight and a bargain at £16 and the boy bought it for me, so I love it very much. I can even pack a book, the essentials and a water bottle in there. Sadly the bag is no longer available but I have my eye on this new offering from Matalan with it’s nod to Chloe with the big ring handles. So pretty, definitely my top pick, I think this will sell out fast.
These over the knee boots are another love, love, love staple item at the moment. I’ve had so many compliments on them and everyone wants to know where they’re from. They’re under £50 and from Marks and Spencer and they are soooo comfy and easy to walk in thanks to the kitten heel. Exactly the boots I’d been hunting for and perfect for lunch with the girls or date night.
