It’s no secret around here that I love all things beauty related and I’m always on the look out for new beauty recommendations and discoveries. The Bilou shower and body mousse range are one of my favourite recent discoveries. My beautiful niece had gifted me some of the shower products and then on my visit to see my sister and her family Germany earlier this month, I discovered more of the range. It’s safe to say my niece loves this range! She was keen for me to try out the cute shower products so made a pretty display of her collection in the bathroom and now I love them too!
What I hadn’t realised until my lovely nephew and I had an in depth conversation about all things blogging and YouTube related was that the Bilou range has been designed and developed by German Beauty Blogger Bibi’s Beauty Palace. It was quite an inspiring story for me and the Bilou collection has quickly become one of my favourite blogger collaborations. It’s clear that the whole design, packaging and importantly the shower and moisturising mousse have been carefully considered and well thought out to produce high quality products. All of the range is 100% Vegan and the formula is super creamy and nourishing.
My niece originally gave me the Fizzy Berry and Lovely Peach shower mousse and while in Germany I couldn’t get enough of Vanilla Cake Pop too so I couldn’t resist grabbing one of those. I also came across the moisturising foam with the Cotton Candy and the limited edition Happy Spring being my favourite scents and the product is incredible! I’ve not tried anything quite like it before. Both the shower and moisturising cream have a mousse-foam texture, great for lathering up in the shower (plus perfect for shaving your legs) and the body cream mousse makes moisturising so easy especially when in a rush. I’ve found that my skin still feels hydrated at the end of the day and is left with a gorgeous scent which stays all day but isn’t overpowering at all.
I love the design, the packaging is so cute; it really brightens up my bathroom and makes my morning routine much more fun. Unfortunately as far as I know though, the Bilou range is only available in Germany and some selected stores in Austria and Switzerland currently. I picked these up in DM (the German equivalent to Superdrug) so if you’ll be visiting Germany or have a German connection, give the Bilou range a try. I really want to add Splashy Melon and Creamy Mandarin to my collection next and hopefully I’ll be able to grab them when I’m next in Germany.
